The Honey Beanie Pattern

The Honey Beanie is perfect accessory for cold weather. Made with chunky yarn. You can make it with pom-pom or without, depending on your preferences. For questions concerning this pattern feel free to reach out to me at hello@winter.tree.design.com

MATERIALS:

*chunky/bulky Yarn - number 5 (in this pattern it is used Hue + me, Lion Brand, color Saffron), used just 1 ball of yarn

hook size: 8 mm, tapestry needle, scissors, pom-pom (if you like it)

SIZING INFORMATION:

*designed to fit a head circumference of appx 55 cm / 21-22 inches

*in this pattern finished beanie height is 23 cm / 9 inches

STITCHES USED:

ch = chain

dc= double crochet

ss = slip stitch

st(s) = stitch(es)

PATTERN:

● make 21 ch + 1ch (which doesn’t count as a st), turn the work

ROW 1: 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS, 1DC, 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS + 1 CH (which doesn’t count as a st), turn the work

● you should have in total 21 ST(S) - 11 SS and, 10 DC

ROW 2: 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS, 1DC, 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS, 1 DC, 1 SS + 1 CH (which doesn’t count as a st), turn the work

● you can see how the first and second rows are the same, now you need to continue in the same way until you reach row 43-44. Length of the work should be approx 50cm / 19.5 in. Width approx 23cm / 9in
● when you are done, fold your work in the half (like down on the photo) and take a tapestry needle to sew from the bottom to the top. With two remaining yarns make a knot 2 times
● than, continue to sew the top part of the beanie, with the needle go throught all stitches and pull to close. Make a few cross stitches for extra support. Add pom-pom/wooden tag if you like it
